T1 Santuarios y cultos ancestrales de La Rioja

AB El enclave riojano es, sin lugar a dudas, uno de los entornos geográficos más privilegiados de la Península Ibérica. Ha sido encrucijada cultural, donde se han urdido diferentes culturas, lenguas y manifestaciones artísticas. Cuenta con santuarios respetados, de gran valor artístico y cultural, que se configuran como uno de los grandes atractivos de la comunidad. Son lugares antiguos de culto, que podemos remontar a época prerromana. Unidos a cultos ancestrales a los árboles, las aguas o las piedras, fueron sincretizándose y adaptándose a las vicisitudes históricas. De esta manera es imprescindible poner en valor su carácter sagrado desde la primera ocupación humana, y entender por qué estos lugares fueron y siguen siendo hoy, sitios de referencia y visita obligada. Comprenderlos y conocerlos es indispensable para entender el valor patrimonial de la región hoy.
AB La Rioja is, undoubtedly, one of the most privileged geographic environments in Spain. It is a cultural crossroads. Here different cultures, languages and artistic manifestations have been mixed. It has respected sanctuaries, of great artistic and cultural value, that are configured as one of the great attractions of the community. They are ancient sites of worship, which can be traced back to the pre-Roman times. They are united to cults ancestral to trees, waters or stones, were syncretizing and adapting to historical vicissitudes. In this way it is essential to value their sacredness since the first human occupation, and to understand why these places were and still are today, sites of reference and a must. We have to understand them and know them is essential to understand the patrimonial value of the region today.
