%X Este estudio forma parte de un proyecto que busca conocer el comportamiento de los alumnos de CC de la Salud en el campus virtual, su relación con el rendimiento académico y posibles diferencias entre cursos con docencia presencial, mixta u online. Para poder interpretar el uso del campus en las condiciones de no presencialidad, se analizó primeramente el perfil del alumnado. Este trabajo se centra en la asignatura Biología celular e Histología del Grado en Odontología por vez primera impartida online y muestra el perfil de los estudiantes y su percepción sobre el campus y la utilidad de las herramientas y recursos para su aprendizaje. Los resultados revelan un perfil mayoritario de estudiantes que eligen esta titulación como primera opción tras cursar bachillerato, no trabajan, viven con su familia, admiten acceder muy poco a los recursos de la biblioteca, y buscan información científica sin filtrar las fuentes. Las herramientas más empleadas con fines educativos son YouTube y plataformas de almacenamiento y edición. En cuanto a su percepción del campus es llamativa la gran relevancia que otorgan a disponer de clases grabadas. Asimismo consideran muy útiles el chat/correo y los cuestionarios. Se han hallado diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre mujeres y hombres.
%X This study is part of a project whose aims are to gain knowledge about the behaviour of Health Science students on the virtual campus, its relationship with the academic outcomes and if there are differences among face-to-face, blended or online teaching. To allow a proper interpretation of the campus use in non face-to-face conditions, first we analyse the students’ profile. This work focuses on the subject Cell Biology and Histology of the Dentistry Degree that was conducted online for the first time and shows the students’ profile and perception of virtual campus and the usefulness of tools and resources for learning. Results indicate a majority profile of students that chose Dentistry as their first option after high school, do not work, live with their families, admit a low use of library’ resources and do not filter sources when looking for scientific information. YouTube and platforms for storing and editing are the more used tools for educational purposes. Regarding their campus perception it is striking the high importance they attach to be able to access to lecture recordings. Chat/e-mail as well as quizzes were also highly appreciated. Statistically significant sex differences were found.
