AB En este artículo reconstruimos el conjunto epigráfico funerario medieval alusivo a la familia Castilla, que se ubicó en el Convento de Santo Domingo el Real de Madrid. La totalidad de inscripciones ha desaparecido por lo que la investigación ha estado basada en las copias transmitidas por diversos historiadores y eruditos de los siglos XVI al XVIII. Asimismo, se ha intentado determinar la tradición de las inscripciones transmitidas, vislumbrando si los autores de la Edad Moderna transmitieron los propios originales o epígrafes que ya eran copias.
AB This article analyses the medieval funerary epigraphic ensemble alluding to Castilla family, which was located in the Convent of Santo Domingo el Real in Madrid. All the inscriptions have disappeared, so this research is based on copies transmitted by various historians and scholars from the 16th to the 18th centuries. It also pretends to determine the tradition of the transmitted inscriptions, clarifying whether the authors of the Modern Age transmitted the original epigraphs or copies.
