T1 El resplandor de Casandra: terror y clarividencia en Esquilo, Stephen King y Stanley Kubrick

AB El artículo analiza el uso del terror en el Agamenón de Esquilo, así como los recursos relacionados con este género en la modernidad, basado en el análisis de la terminología griega en torno al miedo y al asesinato, en la relación bajo el paradigma del terror y del horror entre determinismo y tragedia y, finalmente, en los elementos «siniestros» de la tradición freudiana que se encuentran en Esquilo. De este modo se ofrece, en primer lugar, una lectura desde Esquilo de la novela de Stephen King El resplandor y de la versión de Stanley Kubrick en torno a la clarividencia; en segundo lugar, se aborda la relación entre «don» y «maldición»; en tercer lugar, se analizan los tipos de adivinación que se encuentran en la novela de Stephen King y en Kubrick; y, finalmente, se pondrán de relieve los elementos de terror en Esquilo.
AB The paper analyses the use of terror in Aeschylus’ Agamemnon, as well as the resources related to this genre in modernity based on the analysis of Greek terminology around fear and murder, on the relationship between determinism and tragedy under the paradigm of terror and horror and finally on the «uncanny» elements of the Freudian tradition found in Aeschylus. In this way, firstly, a reading of Stephen King’s novel The Shining and Stanley Kubrick’s version of clairvoyance from Aeschylus is offered; secondly, there is an approach to the connection between «gift» and «curse»; thirdly, the paper analyses the types of divination that are found in Stephen King’s novel and in Kubrick. Finally, the elements of terror in Aeschylus will be highlighted.
