RT Book, Section T1 Consensus Measures for Symbolic Data. A1 GarcĂa-Santesmases, J M A1 Franco, Camilo A1 Montero, Javier AB In this paper we consider consensus measures for a group of individuals that answer a single question on an ordinal Likert-type scale that represents the ratings or rankings of each individual preference. The measure we propose satisfies the rules given by Tastle (2005) and allows several extensions. In particular, once the concept of consensus matrix for a partition on a group of individuals is introduced, we lead to the concept of consensus measure of a partition, which is translated into the framework of symbolic objects.
