AB RESUMEN: La traducción museística es un ámbito sobre el que, hasta la fecha, no hay mucha investigación. Este trabajo tiene por finalidad ahondar en el estudio de la traducción inglés-español de textos museísticos, concretamente sobre la traducción de catálogos de arte, ámbito poco explorado. A partir de un caso práctico, una propuesta de traducción del catálogo de arte "Turner’s Modern World" escrito por David Blayney Brown, Amy Concannon, James Finch y Sam Smiles y publicado por Tate Publishing en 2020, este trabajo pretende aportar nueva información sobre la materia, reforzar las convenciones actuales y ampliar conocimientos sobre el tratamiento que debe recibir esta clase de textos.
AB ABSTRACT: Museum translation is a field on which, to date, there is not much research. This dissertation aims to delve into the study of the English-Spanish translation of museum texts, specifically on the translation of art catalogues, an area that is mainly unexplored. Based on a case study, a translation suggestion of the art catalogue "Turner’s Modern World" written by David Blayney Brown, Amy Concannon, James Finch and Sam Smiles and published by Tate Publishing in 2020, this study aims to provide new information on the subject, strengthen existing conventions and broaden knowledge about the treatment of such texts.
