AB El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar una investigación sobre el ejercicio profesional de las trabajadoras sociales y la relación con las personas demandantes de ayuda. Para abordar este tema, hemos tratado aspectos como la identidad profesional, la terminología empleada por las profesionales para referirse a los demandantes y las emociones derivadas de la relación profesional-demandante. Para dar respuesta a estas cuestiones hemos realizado entrevistas a profesionales del trabajo social.Los testimonios de las trabajadoras sociales aquí reflejados, además de la literatura existente, dan a conocer la diversidad de opiniones presentes en la profesión, lo que complica la tarea de crear una identidad profesional, así como de emplear un único término para referirse a los demandantes. También son variadas las relaciones que se establecen entre las trabajadoras sociales-demandantes, marcadas por el amplio abanico de modelos de intervención y contextos.
AB The aim of this work is to carry out research on the professional practice of social workers and the relationship with those who seek help. To address this issue, we have dealt with aspects such as professional identity, the terminology used by professionals to refer to the claimants and the emotions derived from the professional-demandant relationship. To answer these questions we have conducted interviews with social work professionals.The testimonies of the social workers reflected here, in addition to the existing literature, reveal the diversity of opinions present in the profession, which complicates the task of creating a professional identity, as well as using a singleterm to refer to the claimants. The relationships established between social workers and claimants are also varied, marked by the wide range of intervention models and contexts.
