AB Since Branemark first study, osseointegrated dental implants made of commercially pure titanium have been used successfully to replace missingteeth. Nowadays, multiple brands of implants are available in the market. Some companies have developed their own implant connection. These original designs have been incorporated in a number of competing companies that offer the so called “clonical” or “compatible” connections. Compatible abutments are often used by clinicians. There is a lack of information in Literature about the adequacy of this interchange. The present study aims to understand if the exchange of components can be suitable and if it can influence the success of the implant therapy.
