AB Esta tesis es un estudio integral, cualitativo y cuantitativo del grabado dentro de la imprenta toledana, desde la aparición de la imprenta en esta ciudad a finales del siglo XV hasta 1534.Nuestro trabajo es un estudio local, justificado en base a la importancia de la investigación de la estampa individual y de forma sistemática en el libro. Una aportación del análisis del grabado para el estudio de la imprenta, el trabajo editorial, y así, de los lectores de la época. Toledo fue uno de los primeros centros peninsulares en el nacimiento y desarrollo dela primera imprenta española, representativa de la realidad castellana. El estudio comienza con la aparición de la imprenta en la ciudad, abarca un periodo significativo de tiempo, homogéneo, y con un valor de muestra. 1534 cierra un espacio temporal de la primera imprenta en Toledo, al ser un momento previo al final del trabajo conjunto de Juan de Villaquirán y Juan de Ayala, que dará comienzo al trabajo de Ayala en solitario en la ciudad, y suponiendo la salida definitiva de Villaquirán a Valladolid, hecho señero en la historia de las primeras décadas de la imprenta en Toledo. Para el mundo de la xilografía, en 1535 aparecen los trabajos de Jean de Vingles en Toledo, que suponen un cambio más que significativo en el panorama de la estampa española, un salto hacia delante en la figura del artista y en la identificación de grabador y obra, que hasta su trabajo no se había dado...
AB This thesis is a comprehensive, qualitative, and quantitative study of engraving within the Toledo printing press, from the appearance of printing in this city at the end of the15th century until 1534. Our work is a local study, based on the importance of researching the individual image and systematically in the book. It contributes to the analysis of engraving for the study of printing, editorial work, and the readers of the time.Toledo was one of the first peninsular centres in the birth and development of the first Spanish printing press, representative of the Castilian reality. The study begins with the appearance of the printing press in the city and covers a significant period, homogeneous and with a sample value. 1534 marked the end of a temporary space of the first printing press in Toledo, being a moment prior to the end of the joint work of Juan de Villaquiránand Juan de Ayala. From there began Ayala's work alone in the city, marking the printing press in the following decades, assuming the definitive departure of Villaquirán to Valladolid, a significant event in the history of the first decades of the printing houses in Toledo. For the world of woodcuts, in 1535 the works of Jean de Vingles appeared inToledo, representing a more than significant change in the panorama of Spanish prints, a leap forward in the figure of the artist and in the identification of engraver and work tha thad not been seen until his work...
