T2 Plaster Casts Belonging to the Gipsoteca of the UCM: Molds, Plaster Casts and Features

AB Este tema, impartido en tercer curso del grado de Conservación y Restauración del Patrimonio Cultural de la UCM, describe los procesos técnicos, como el molde perdido o el molde a piezas, por los que se obtuvieron las esculturas reproducidas en yeso pertenecientes a la Gipsoteca de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la UCM. Se explican además las características de los vaciados, las huellas de los moldes –coutures-, la estructura de los positivos o los sistemas de ensamble de las esculturas más grandes.
AB This class, taught in the third year of the degree of Conservation and Restoration of the Cultural Heritage of the UCM, describes the technical processes, such as the lost mold or the mold to pieces, that let the sculptures be replicated as plaster sculptures, now belonging to the Gipsoteca (plaster cast gallery) of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UCM. The characteristics of the castings, the traces of the molds –coutures-, the structure of the positives or the assemblies of the larger sculptures are also explained.
