%X Se traza la evolución del concepto «hipertexto» a través de sus distintas formulaciones, hasta llegar al concepto de «multimedia interactivo» actual.Se describen algunos de los principales programas del mercado y se estudian sus aplicaciones en las áreas de la Biblioteconomía y Documentación, la Edición Electrónica, la Enseñanza y el Entretenimiento. Se analizan los problemas de esta tecnología y se plantean algunas tendencias de desarrollofuturo.
%X The evolution of the "hypertext concept" is described, since its origins until the current «interactive multimedia». The multimedia software and their applications in several areas: Library and Information Sciences, Electronic Publishing, Instruction and Entertainment, are analysed. Some of the problems and the future trends of this technology are likewise reviewed.
