<dc:description>For my Final Degree Project I have made the illustrations and designs for an English poker deck consisting of 54 cards, including two jokers. For this purpose, I have used both traditional and digital techniques, which I have combined in order to elaborate the final designs of the cards.

The theme of the deck is the Celtic Mythology in the Britanic Isles, whose characters (selkies, banshees, fairies kings...) I have used to illustrate the figures of jacks, queens, kings and jokers, trying to harmonize their personalities, appearances, and colours as much as possible with the suits they were assigned to, taking into account that, I made each of the suits correspond to one of the four Seasons. I have also researched about celtic designs and decorations in order to create an esthetic coherent with the theme, which would help perceive the all the cards as a whole.

I have designed the aces being careful of keeping the traditional and recognizable shapes of the diamonds, spades, hearts and clubs, while turning them into celtic knots. Furthermore, I have decorated them with the fruits, leafs, branches and flowers of the rowan, which change, depending of the suit and season they corres- pond to. This plant can also be found in some of the illustrations of the figures.

On the back of the cards, there is a quaternary knot and decorations. I use this design again on the tuck box. For the other side of the box, I have used an illustration from one of the cards, which I adapted to the box.

Moreover, I have done research on the posible methods of publication and production of a deck.</dc:description>
