<mods:abstract>This paper is the manifestation of an unfulfilled quest, and an exploration of the conditions that favor the existence of a certain space. It is first and foremost an attempt to delineate the conditions that allow life to happen: An attempt to tap into the elements that define the specificity of a given location and how one can think of the economy of experience when the ‘actual’ experience and accessibility (to such space or built environment) is denied.
Considered as a work in progress, where images should be read together with the text, Approximations is an invention, an experiment that might very well fail in its attempt to ascribe a certain sense to a removed object of study. It may, nonetheless, serve as a meditation on the fluid condition of human existence, and the constructed nature of experience itself.</mods:abstract>
