Se propone realizar un estudio analizando la influencia de los cinco marcadores moleculares (MIB-1, Ciclina D1, COX-2, Actina, Calretinina) seleccionados, en el diagnóstico y patogenia de QQO, QOO y de AB. Se intenta demostrar si estos marcadores podrían ayudar a predecir futuras recurrencias y su comportamiento agresivo. Podrían ayudar en el proceso de decisión terapéutica en estos pacientes y contribuir a mejorar su postoperatorio y calidad de vida. Se ha demostrado que los QQOs/QOOs son entidades clinico-patológicas diferentes y que el QQO estaría más próximo al comportamiento de una neoplasia y no al de una lesión quística.
It is proposed to perform a study analyzing the influence of the five selected molecular markers (MIB-1, CyclinD1, COX-2, Actin, Caretinin) in the diagnosis and pathogenesis of OKC (Odontogenic Keratocyst), OOC (Orthokeratinized odontogenic cyst) and AB (Ameloblastoma). We try to demonstrate that if these markers could predict future recurrences and theri aggressive behaviour. They could help in the terapeutic decision process in patientys, and contribute to improve their postoperative and quality of life. It has been demonstrated that the OKC/OOC are different clinical-pathological entities and that the OKC may be closer to the behaviour of a neoplasm and not that of a cystic lesion.
