El estudio de algunas de las tapas de los albarelos conservados en el Museo de la Farmacia Hispana (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) revela que fueron construidas utilizando textos impresos que, en su momento, fueron considerados como material de desecho. Analizamos la procendencia de estos materiales y planteamos la hipótesis de su posible origen en la antigua biblioteca del madrileño Colegio de San Fernando.
A survey of the lids of some apothecary jars (albarelli) in the Museum of Hispanic Pharmacy at the Complutense University of Madrid reveals that they were made from printers’ waste. We study the provenance of this waste, speculating that it may have come from the old library of Madrid’s Colegio de San Fernando.
