<mods:abstract>This article seeks to identify the ways in which media-driven rage is constructed and circulated, with the deliberate intent to undermine both the feminist policies coming out of the Spanish Ministerio de Igualdad and those who endorse them. To achieve this, media narratives about former minister Montero published in Spanish newspapers will be analysed using Critical Discourse Analysis, focusing on the period following Montero’s handover as Ministra de Igualdad on 21 November 2023. The epistemic value of media-driven rage has been addressed in our previous research in which we have developed an analytical model from which a series of dimensions have been operationalized to frame the discursive construction of anger.</mods:abstract>
