RESUMEN: Alfonso Fernández de Madrigal, “El Tostado”, que vivió una época fronteriza de confluencias y experimentación, practicó un humanismo filológico con el que camina irremisiblemente hacia una traducción más libre y respetuosa con la lengua de llegada y con los receptores, una traducción más humanista, así como hacia un tratamiento de los textos completamente nuevo en el que su transmisión cobra importancia.
ABSTRACT: Alfonso Fernández de Madrigal, “El Tostado”, who lived in a frontier period of confluences and experimentation, practiced a philological humanism with which he walks irremissibly towards a freer and more respectful translation with the target language and with the receivers, a more humanistic translation, as well as towards a completely new treatment of texts in which their transmission becomes important.
