El artículo que presentamos a continuación tiene como objeto mostrar la complejidad de la gestión exposición temporal “Auschwitz. No hace mucho, no muy lejos”, inaugurada en Madrid en Diciembre de 2017 en cooperación con el Museo Estatal de Auschwitz-Birkenau (Polonia), y que tiene prevista su itinerancia en Europa y América en los próximos años.
Formada por más de veinte colecciones internacionales de un patrimonio sensible como es el procedente del Holocausto, este artículo tiene como objetivo plantear los retos y las soluciones aportadas en la recepción de las colecciones reunidas por primera vez, en el desarrollo de un sistema informático de gestión documental creado ex novo, en la aplicación de los protocolos de conservación durante el montaje, y en el control y seguimiento de las colecciones en exposición.This paper aims to present the complexity of the Collections Management related to the Temporary Exhibition “Auschwitz, not long ago, not far away”, opened in Madrid in December 2017 in cooperation with the State Museum of Auschwitz-Birkenau (Poland), and will travel to Europe and America in the following years.
Formed by more than twenty international collections of a sensitive heritage as it is from the Holocaust, this paper aims to present the challenges and solutions provided in the reception of the collections that have joined together for the first time. To achieve these issues we have developed a computerized management system created ex novo, in order to be able to improve the conservation processes and protocols during the installation, and the preventive conservation control and monitoring of collections in the Exhibition.
