Fue un arquitecto de jardines que viajó por todo el mundo y cuyos proyectos incluían la jardinería histórica. Siguiendo su enseñanza, quiero aportar mi visión como arquitecta y docente de la expresión estética, como vínculo del ser humano con la naturaleza, del jardín, el parque y el paisaje. Reconozco en ellos las aspiraciones del humanismo y de la ilustración: El beatus ille, alejándonos del mundanal ruido, el locus amoenus, en un lugar ameno e idealizado, el tempus fugit conscientes de que el tiempo vuela, el carpe diem, atrapando el día divirtiéndonos, el Genius loci, inspirándonos en el sitio y según el personaje de Candido en la obra de Voltaire: “mais il faut cultiver notre jardín”, siempre trabajando.
