Se presentan los resultados de un estudio descriptivo de diseño no experimental sobre el Conocimiento Conceptual en Biología vegetal de la población española, en general, obtenidos a través de una encuesta de tipo personal aplicada a 1270 participantes mayores de 18 años, dentro de la Comunidad de Madrid. Los resultados obtenidos reflejan que un porcentaje considerable de hombres y mujeres de diferente nivel educativo, edad y género tienen concepciones erróneas sobre algunos aspectos de la biología vegetal, por lo que se hace necesario reforzar los tópicos tratados sobre esta asignatura en el currículo escolar español e indagar más sobre su didáctica a fin de mejorarla.
[ABSTRACT]We present the results of a descriptive, not experimental Conceptual Knowledge in Plant Biology of the Spanish population in general, obtained through a survey of a personal nature applied to 1270 participants over 18 years within the Community Madrid. The results show that a considerable proportion of men and women of different educational levels, age and gender have misconceptions about aspects of plant biology, so it is necessary to reinforce the topics covered on this subject in the school curriculum and Spanish find out more about their teaching in order to improve it.
