El objetivo principal del presente trabajo es el estudio de los cambios producidos en la música, entendida como elemento significativo y significante, dentro del drama mitológico cortesano en los últimos veinte años del siglo XVII. Para abordar esta tarea ha sido necesario establecer una metodología que permitiera mostrar con claridad aspectos musicales y filológicos que indicaran dicha transformación. El procedimiento que se ha considerado más adecuado es el basado en el análisis semiótico teatral porque expone con claridad las funciones que adopta el signo musical al relacionarse con el resto de los elementos dramáticos. Así pues, este estudio semiótico permite saber cómo, por qué y en qué momento los autores dramáticos incorporan secciones musicales a sus obras y, por tanto, comprender los patrones comunes manejados por todos ellos para introducir dichas secciones en la trama. En otras palabras, el análisis de las relaciones que establece la música con elementos dramáticos como el espacio, el tiempo, la acción y los personajes en las representaciones palaciegas aporta una valiosa información para determinar los diferentes cambios que se producen a través de los años en este conjunto de obras...The main objective of the present work is the study of the changes produced in music, understood as a significant and signifier element, within the courtly mythological drama in the last twenty years of the seventeenth century. In order to approach this task, it has been necessary to establish a methodology that would allow to clearly show musical and philological aspects which indicated this transformation. The procedure that has been considered most appropriate is the one based on the theatrical semiotic analysis because it clearly exposes the functions that the musical sign adopts when it is related to the rest of the dramatic elements. Thus, this semiotic study allows us to know how, why, and at what moment playwrights incorporate musical sections into their plays, as well as, therefore, to understand the common patterns used by all of them to introduce such sections into the plot. In other words, the analysis of the relationships that music establishes with dramatic elements such as space, time, action, and characters in palace plays provides valuable information to determine the different changes that occur over the years in this set of plays...
