               <mods:abstract>Luminescence properties of tetragonal Tl_2Ba_2Cu_1O_(6+ δ) have been investigated by cathodoluminescence (CL) in the scanning electron microscope (SEM). The intensity of CL emission is inhomogeneous in the sample and its distribution has been found to be independent of impurity phases. Present results, together with previous characterization of the samples by different techniques, indicate that CL emission is related to an inhomogenous oxygen distribution.</mods:abstract>
