Cuando se considera esta posibilidad, se hacen interpretaciones mediante razonamientos analógicos basados en la teoría de la evolución biológica. La utilización de la lógica neodarwinista y la conversión de algunos conceptos de la teoría de la evolución biológica puede ser muy fructífero para la Tafonomía; por ejemplo, el concepto de conservabilidad puede ser estructuralmente equivalente al de adaptación. Sin embargo, la equivalencia estructural entre hipótesis biológicas y tafonómicas no puede llevarse hasta el extremo de pretender explicar el registro fósil en términos de conservabilidad. [ABSTRACT] In the paleontological studies are not always taken into account the .possible bias of the fossil record. When this possibility is considered, interpretations are made through analogical reasonings found in the biological evolutionary theory. The use of the neodarwinian logic and the conversion of some biological evolutionary concepts may be very fructiferous in Taphonomy; for example, the concept of conservability may be structurally equivalent to the adaptation.
