En esta investigación nos aproximamos al concepto de «homonormatividad» y a la configuración de un discurso hegemónico sobre el colectivo LGTB+ desde Occidente que oculta subrepticiamente a minorías dentro de esta comunidad. Desde estas premisas, examinaremos una seri e de discursos traducidos que circulan en los medios de comunicación para entender cómo actúa la homonormatividad y cómo permea la sociedad mediante la reproducción de sus parámetros en el mundo globalizado actual a través de la traducción. Localizar las formas discursivas disimuladas de neoimperialismo en las diferentes vías de comunicación transnacional resultará vital para entender el carácter problemático e inestable de unas identidades mutables configuradas bajo los efectos de las fuerzas y presiones del poder dominante y, además, para descubrir la participación del traductor como agente que puede contribuir a desarmar el perfil normativo LGTB+ hegemónico en la actualidad.
In this study we will discuss the concept of «homonormativity»
and the configuration of a hegemonic discourse on the LGBT+ community
from the West that surreptitiously conceals different minorities within it.
Based on these assumptions, we will examine a number of discourses that
are portrayed in mass media in an attempt to understand how
homonormativity behaves and how it permeates all society through the
reproduction of its rules in a globalized world through translation. Finding
disguised neoimperialist discourses in different transnational communication
routes will be essential to understand the controversial and unstable nature
of shifting identities that are shaped under the forces and pressures of the
ruling power, and also to uncover the participation of the translator as an
actor that may contribute to dismantling the current dominant normative
LGBT+ profile.
