Las variedades de la experiencia abductiva

Siguiendo la propuesta de Peirce en su Argumento Olvidado, en este artículo trataremos de observar la equivalencia generativa y metodológica de lo que llamaremos las experiencias abductivas religiosas y científicas. Para articular estas conexiones, nos apoyaremos también en las conferencias Gifford de William James (1901-1902) reunidas bajo el título Las variedades de la experiencia religiosa. Estudiaremos ampliamente, además, la universalidad de los procesos mentales que llevan a la generación de las abducciones más creativas y que Peirce denominó Musement; para finalizar, trataremos de justificar esta universalidad por un descubrimiento muy reciente de la neurociencia, la red neural por defecto.
ABSTRACT: Following the Peirce’s proposal drawn intheNeglectedArgument,herewe focus on the equivalence,from the generative and methodological point of view,of what we will call the religious and scientific abductive experiences. To articulate these connections, we also rely on William James's Gifford Lectures (1901-1902) collected under the title The Varieties of Religious Experience. Moreover, we study extensivelythe universality of the Musement which is related to the mental processes that lead to the generation of the most creative abductions; finally, wefullyidentify the Musementwitha recent discovery of neuroscience, the brain’s default modenetwork.
