Los textos han sido examinados desde un punto de vista económico, social y político. El objetivo que se ha perseguido con este trabajo es el de ofrecer un examen de la tipología del sacrificio de estos animales en la religión del Egipto grecorromano. Para llegar a él se han investigado los diferentes aspectos que rodean esta clase de sacrificio y sus particularidades: en qué tipo de fiesta se sacrificaban cerdos y lechones, a qué divinidad se ofrecían, quiénes eran los encargados de correr con los gastos del sacrificio, o si existe algún tipo de tabú a la hora de consumir su carne.This study focuses on analyzing documentary papyri from Greco-Roman Egypt, in which pigs and piglets' ritual sacrifice is recorded. The texts have been examined from an economic, social and political point of view. The aim of this paper is to provide a review of the typology of this animal’s sacrifice in the Greco-Roman Egypt religion.
