The intention here is to analyse this festival, which probably formed part of the Athenian Anthesteria, but at a local/rural level. The objective is to determine how the god of wine was honoured in rural areas and the role played by members of certain gene, plus, from a broader perspective, many women from Attica who apparently honoured the god of wine and new wine in close relationship with the cult of the nymphs.RESUMEN: En el léxico de Harpocración (s.v. Theoinion) se conserva una referencia a una disputa entre los gene de los Koironidai y de los Krokonidai en época de Licurgo y en este contexto se define Theoinia como fiesta de Dioniso en los demos (“kata demous”) en la que sacrifican los gennetai. Pretendo analizar esta fiesta que se enmarca, probablemente, en las Antesterias atenienses, pero a nivel local/rural.
