Partimos de varios conceptos: imagen (como interpretación histórica de un personaje), interpretación de un hecho histórico, y reinterpretaciones de esos hechos. Para este caso es útil acudir a diversas metodologías de investigación (especialmente la literatura como fuente histórica). Planteamos el problema del Jesús de la fe y del Jesús histórico. En el ámbito católico analizamos la interpretación de Jesús desde el Concilio Vaticano II, y algunos ejemplos recientes de interpretación exegética (Benedicto XVI) y de interpretación ―práctica (teología de la liberación y Papa Francisco). Tras esto analizamos la situación en la historiografía desde la Tercera Búsqueda, con multiplicidad de interpretaciones de Jesús, y con sus limitaciones interpretativas. El propósito principal es ver si la tendencia de la llamada Tercera Búsqueda continúa en el presente, o hablamos de un Jesús de consenso, y acercarnos a las tendencias actuales de investigación.This work pretends to analyze the interpretation and the images of Jesus in Catholic Church, in recent historiography, and some literary interpretations. We start from several concepts: image (as historical interpretation of a personality), interpretation of historic facts, and reinterpretations of these facts. For this case is useful choose different methodologies of research (especially literature as historical source). We contemplate the problem between Jesus of Faith and Historical Jesus. In Catholic Church we analyze the interpretation of Jesus since Second Vatican Council (Dei verbum), and some recent examples of catocholic exegesis and research (Pope Benedict XVI) and ―active‖ interpretation (Liberation theology and Pope Francis). Then we analyze the case of historiography, since Third Quest, with multiplicity of analysis of Jesus, and some interpretative limitations.
