Methods: for this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted in Spain based on Meyer’s model and a Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) was realized with RStudio software to obtain categories that reflect the discrimination situations suffered, and the coping strategies used. Results: The participants report having suffered from distal and proximal stressors as defined by the model. Conclusion: the study highlights the need for health professionals to develop a deeper awareness of the experiences of discrimination suffered by trans people and the coping strategies used to carry out adequate treatment of this population.engTrans experiences through Meyer’s minority stress model and psychological mediation framework: An exploratory study in Spainjournal article1931-762Xhttps://doi.org/10.1080/19317611.2025.2564180https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/19317611.2025.2564180embargoed accessTransgenderCoping strategiesDiscriminationSocial supportMinority stressPsicología social (Psicología)Psicología aplicada61 Psicología
