En este texto se pone a prueba la hipótesis de que asistimos a una teatralización del museo que afecta al concepto mismo de historia del arte. Tomando como apoyo la tesis de Walter Benjamin sobre el Barroco, así como su filosofía de la historia y de la imagen dialéctica, me pregunto aquí por los aspectos políticos de la imbricación de la performance en el museo, pretando particular atención a artistas como Tino Sehgal y planteando una lectura polémica de las premisa mantenidas a este respecto por Dorothea von HantelmannThere is a historical dialectic between theatre and museum that places practices linked to performance in a key place for understanding the drifts of the institution. This text tests the hypothesis that we are witnessing a theatricalisation of the museum that affects the very concept of art history.
