Analyzing mathematical work through the lens of MWS enables us to follow the process of bridging the epistemological and cognitive planes, through the three geneses. Research conducted within the framework of the theory aims to explore questions concerning the description, characterization or (trans)formation of mathematical work in a given school context. In this chapter, we introduce the methodological tools associated with constructs and principles of the theory of MWS and their use in addressing these issues. Several examples from empirical research are included and demonstrate how to use these methodological tools.engMethodological Aspects in the Theory of Mathematical Working Spacesbook parthttps://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-90850-8_2restricted accessDidácticaMatemáticas (Matemáticas)5801 Teoría y Métodos Educativos
