In such cases, speakers usually utter some “mysterious” words based on the assumed abductive capability of their interlocutors. In order to cause the desired effect in the audience, the speaker relies on the hearer’s knowledge of the relevant common dialogue framework and thus uses the utterance as an abductive trigger. For purposes of explanation, I present a curious kind of (pseudo)fallacy: ironic (pseudo)fallacy.engAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/On abduction and interpretationjournal article1870-4905https://critica.filosoficas.unam.mx/index.php/critica/article/view/1091https://produccioncientifica.ucm.es/documentos/5ebf1ee72999524bdf7a05eeopen access001.1DavidsonDetonador abductivoDiálogoFalaciaImplicatura conversacionalAbductive triggerConversational implicatureDialogueFallacyFilosofía de la Ciencia7205 Filosofía de la Ciencia
