It has been computed using marine and terrestrial gravimetric data. Differences between results including several kinds of data are also studied. Altimetric data from a year of ERS-1 mission are used to test the precision of the results, overall close to the coastal line. A first approximation to the sea surface topography in the area is made with both results: altimetric mean sea surface and gravimetric geoid.engGeoid model in the western Mediterranean Seajournal articlehttp://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1464189500000107http://www.sciencedirect.com/restricted access528AltimetryERS-1Geochemistry & GeophysicsGeodesia2504 Geodesia
