Además, también se ha usado constantemente una metodología dual, cualitativa y cuantitativa, a través de la recopilación de los diferentes datos publicados hasta la fecha, de su posterior sistematización y, finalmente, del estudio numérico y estadístico de los mismos. Por último, se ha llevado a cabo también el estudio comparativo de la autorrepresentación de Galieno en las dos etapas de su gobierno: primero entre los años 253 y 260 conjuntamente con su padre Valeriano, y, posteriormente, entre los años 260 y 268 a través del estudio de su gobierno en solitario...The following doctoral thesis aims to analyse, in a multidisciplinary way, the image and self-representation of the public power of the Roman emperor Publius Licinius Gallienus, a prominent member of the Domus Licinia Augusta and ruler of the Roman Empire from 253 to 268.A multidisciplinary methodology has been used for this thesis, through the systematic study of the different literary, plastic, epigraphic, numismatic and archaeological sources explicitly related to the emperor. In addition, a dual qualitative and quantitative methodology has also been constantly used, through the compilation of the different data published to date, their subsequent systematisation and, finally, their numerical and statistical study.
