Se realiza un repaso a los aurigas de las ciudad más importantes, haciendo especial hincapié en el carácter homoerótico del Auriga de Delfos. En 1896 se descubrió la estatua del Auriga de Delfos. La relación entre cultura grecolatina y homosexualidad por parte de algunos artistas que, como Gregorio Prieto, utilizan esta estatua como símbolo homoerótico, es el tema central de esta investigación. La búsqueda de estereotipos masculinos de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX; la imagen exclusivamente masculina del auriga en las fuentes de nuestra historia occidental; y la utilización de la estatua como símbolo; son las cuestiones analizadas en esta comunicación.Some charioteers have become a city´s icon, as Madrid or Delphi, and they are been in triumph arcs and another urban elements. Will be performed an review of the most important citys charioteer´s with special emphasis on the homoerotic character of Charioteer of Delphi. In 1896, the statue of Charioteer of Delphi is discovered. The relationship between Greco-Roman culture and homosexuality followed by some artists that used this statue as a homoerotic symbol, like Gregorio Prieto did, is the centerpiece of this research.
