Esto permite comprender cómo se configura la civilización moderna y cómo se concibe al hombre moderno. Una vez contextualizado el tema, se plantean varios dilemas que surgen en el seno de la modernidad, los cuales se analizan desde una perspectiva filosófico-antropológica. En primer lugar, se debate sobre la relevancia de la cultura en la formación del ser humano, cuestionando si la cultura es una parte constitutiva del ser humano o si es un elemento superpuesto del que los humanos pueden y deben prescindir. En segundo lugar, se discuten los fines de la escuela, analizando si esta debe concebirse como un lugar de ocio o un lugar de negocio. Por último, se aborda la problemática de la atención, tratando de identificar las causas que originan la progresiva falta de atención. Es importante señalar que en cada uno de los dilemas se indica cuál es la visión moderna al respecto, así como la influencia que este pensamiento moderno tiene en las prácticas educativas contemporáneas. Para concluir el trabajo, se reflexiona sobre la ontología de la vida humana y se propone un ideal de escuela.At the beginning of this paper, a historical analysis is carried out with the purpose of identifying the social changes brought about by modernity. This allows us to understand how modern civilisation is configured and how modern man is conceived. Once the issue has been contextualised, several dilemmas arising within modernity are presented and analysed from a philosophical-anthropological perspective. Firstly, the relevance of culture in the formation of the human being is debated, questioning whether culture is a constitutive part of the human being or whether it is a superimposed element that humans can and should do without. Secondly, the purpose of the school is discussed, analysing whether it should be conceived as a place of leisure or a place of business. Finally, the problem of attention is addressed, trying to identify the causes of the ongoing progressive lack of attention. It is important to point out that in each of the dilemmas it is indicated which is the modern vision in this matter, as well as the influence that this modern vision has on contemporary educational practices.
