The situation particularly affected the exiles due to the dynastic conflict. Based on an analysis of the European context of Utrecht, within the framework of the current historiography, we observe the rapprochement of the courts of Madrid and Vienna from 1720 onwards, and the consequences for the commercial interests of both powers. The central theme of this article is the study of the contribution of the Peace of Vienna to overcoming the civil dimension of the succession conflict. The application of Article 9 of this Treaty of Peace is analyzed, focusing on the positive and negative results regarding the amnesty, the return of confiscated property, and the recognition of the dignities granted by both monarchs during and after the War of the Spanish Succession.Felipe V y el emperador Carlos VI no firmaron la Paz en Utrecht-Rastatt (1713/1714), lo que prolongó las consecuencias de la Guerra de Sucesión tanto a nivel internacional, como en su dimensión civil, al menos hasta la Paz de Viena en 1725. La situación afectó de forma particular a los exiliados de la contienda dinástica. A partir del análisis del contexto europeo de Utrecht, en el marco de la historiografía actual, se observa el acercamiento de las cortes de Madrid y Viena a partir de 1720, lo cual tuvo consecuencias en los intereses comerciales de ambas potencias. El objetivo del artículo lo constituye el estudio de la contribución de la Paz de Viena a la superación de la dimensión civil del conflicto sucesorio.
