Estando ya debilitada por conversiones masivas al Islam, además de algunos tímidos filtreos con el babismo, la comunidad judía de Persia acabó sintiéndose enormemente atraída por el mensaje de Bahá'u'lláh. Este TFG pretende llenar un vacío académico, puesto que ni el campo de estudios judíos ni el de estudios bahá'ís ha llevado aún a cabo un análisis serio del fenómeno judeo-bahá'í. En este trabajo, estudio la situación socio-económica de los judíos de la Persia del siglo XIX y su interacción con, y final absorpción por, la sociedad chií y la floreciente comunidad bahá'í. Desde una perspectiva sociológica, en la que la convergencia de minorías y su relación con la mayoría circundante resultan de capital importancia, intento exponer dos de los mayores fenómenos de conversión atestiguados en la Persia contemporánea.In the second half of the 19th century, the unexpected appearance of the Bahá'í Faith shook the foundations of the Persian Jewry. Already weakened by massive conversions to Islam, alongside some timid approaches to Babism, the Persian Jewish community felt strongly attracted to the message of Bahá'u'lláh. This BA thesis attempts to fill a gap in both Jewish and Baha'i scholarships, which have not yet carried out a serious analysis of the Judaeo-Bahá'í phenomenon. In this thesis, I analyse the socio-economic situation of the Jews in 19th-century Persia and their interaction with and absorption by the Shi’i society and the flourishing Baha’i community.
