An interesting concept of RFO is its merit list. We argue that this concept could be successfully exported to other metaheuristics. As a concrete case study, we have implemented a modified version of Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) including merit lists. The experiments we have conducted with a concrete wellknown benchmark show that it can help improving the quality of the solutions found by ABC.engAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Exporting Rain-Fall Optimization concepts to Artificial Bee Colonyconference paperhttps://doi.org/10.1109/SMC.2019.8913988restricted accessWater-based metaheuristicsBio-inspired algorithmsSwarm intelligenceOptimizationInformática (Informática)1203.17 Informática
