These tectonic models are divided in two main groups: the thick-skinned tectonics one, and the thinskinned tectonics. From the srudy of these groups we can obtain considerations to advance in the understanding of the Spanish Central System. When analyzing these models, it is possible to find out that every tectonic model established must explain the morfological characteristies of the whole chain of mountains.spaLos modelos tectónicos del Sistema Central EspañolTectonic models of Spanish Central Rangejournal articlehttp://www.iux.es/?page=5&serie=1open access551.24(234.1)(234.1)551.24Sistema Central EspañolTectónicaSpanish Central RangeTectonic modelsThick-skinned tectonicsThin-skinned tectonicsGeodinámica2507 Geofísica
