En esta aportación, trataré de estudiar la forma en la que los líderes astures concibieron el impacto del colapso visigodo y la evolución de la comprensión y justificación sobre los acontecimientos de la octava centuria que, finalmente, desembocaron en la redacción de una narrativa lineal y triunfalista en las últimas décadas del siglo IX acorde a unas necesidades políticas nuevas.The analyses of Ovetensian monarchy’s ideological cover have been always contemplated as a static and unchanging message that submerge into the first moments of a chiefdom emergence that tried to consolidate its position as an autonomous entity.
