La tarea del diseñador, es crear objetos que se adecuen a la estética y a la tecnología vigente de la época, lo que resulta adaptarse a los nuevos tiempos. La investigación busca fundamentalmente verificar qué herramienta gráfica es utilizada por los diseñadores brasileños en la actualidad y si la llegada de las tecnologías han provocado un cambio en la gráfica de la ideación del proyecto. Para esto, el análisis gráfico se centró en la fase conceptual de los proyectos de importantes diseñadores de muebles brasileños entre el período de 1950 hasta 2015. Identificó similitudes y disparidades en el proceso del registro de sus ideas y los diversos soportes aplicados para registrarlas (los bocetos, la maquetas, los medios digitales, las tecnologías y otros elementos como el sonido, objetos industrializados, la hibridación de referencias del pasado con el tiempo actual, entre otros). Creative experts in industrial society have had to adapt to the new way of working. The designer’s task is to create objects that fit current aesthetics and the technology of the time, which means adapting to the new times. The research primarily seeks to verify what graphics tool is used by Brazilian designers at present and whether the arrival of technology has led to a change in the graphics of conceiving the project. For this purpose, the graphics analysis focussed on the conceptual phase of projects by key Brazilian furniture designers between 1950 and 2015. It identified similarities and differences in the process of registering their ideas and the various media used to record these (sketches, scale models, digital media, technology and other elements such as sound, industrial objects, and hybridization of products from the past and present, among others).
