A través del proyecto editorial WOAL —un magazine creativo, interactivo y comprometido— se aborda esta realidad con el objetivo de contribuir a una transformación cultural que permita reescribir la narrativa dominante y ofrecer nuevos referentes. Lejos de entender el diseño como una simple herramienta estética, este trabajo lo reivindica como un medio capaz de generar pensamiento crítico, memoria colectiva y empoderamiento. WOAL nace como respuesta al vacío simbólico que muchas generaciones han sufrido al crecer sin referentes femeninos en el fútbol, y se construye como un artefacto cultural con vocación educativa y activista. Desde una perspectiva de género, se exploran las raíces del fútbol femenino, sus principales hitos históricos, sus dinámicas sociales y el papel crucial que juega hoy como espacio de resistencia, identidad y representación. El magazine se estructura en diferentes secciones que combinan actualidad, historia, activismo y experiencias transversales, con el fin de conectar a las nuevas generaciones con una realidad aún silenciada. Su carácter interactivo —a través de elementos editoriales complementarios como catálogos, postales, recreaciones de elementos históricos o cromos— busca fomentar una experiencia de lectura viva e inusual, generando vínculos emocionales entre el contenido y el lector. WOAL es un proyecto concebido para ser una herramienta de cambio social construida desde la experiencia personal, la memoria feminista y el poder transformador del diseño.This Final Degree Project stems from a problem that goes beyond the sports sphere to take root in broader social and cultural dynamics: the lack of awareness and visibility of women’s football, and the historical gender inequality embedded in sport. Through the editorial project WOAL — a creative, interactive, and socially committed magazine — this reality is addressed with the aim of contributing to a cultural transformation that rewrites the dominant narrative and offers new role models. Far from understanding design as a merely aesthetic tool, this work reclaims it as a medium capable of generating critical thinking, collective memory, and empowerment. WOAL emerges as a response to the symbolic void experienced by many generations who grew up without female football references, and it is conceived as a cultural artefact with both educational and activist ambitions. From a gender perspective, the project explores the roots of women’s football, its major historical milestones, its social dynamics, and the crucial role it plays today as a space for resistance, identity, and representation. The magazine is structured into different sections that combine current affairs, history, activism, and cross-cutting experiences, aiming to connect new generations with a still silenced reality. Its interactive nature — through complementary editorial elements such as catalogues, postcards, recreations of historical items, or collectible cards — seeks to foster an engaging and unconventional reading experience, creating emotional connections between the content and the reader.
