We will also detect the possible causes of these adverse events and how to prevent and treat them. We hypothesized that these adverse events don´t appear only because of the characteristics of the product that is being used. They could also be caused by reactions of the receiving tissue and medical practice. We made three surveys: the first one aimed at collecting the patterns of fillers use among cosmetic surgeons, and the moderate to severe adverse events that have appeared after injection of these materials. The second one designed to collect the adverse events in patients from a group of cosmetic surgery clinics that have been treated with the most used filler, hyaluronic acid gel. And the third one aimed to corroborate about the results regarding latency time of the adverse events that happened after injection of hyaluronic acid gel. The clinical findings were contrasted with the outcomes of different authors to answer the proposed aims. In conclusion we can assert that there is no an ideal filler and that a safety plan is required to establish what actions must be undertaken to prevent the appearance of adverse events and to treat adverse events that may happen.spaEfectos secundarios de los implantes tisulares: situación actual, protocolo de prevención y tratamientodoctoral thesisopen access616-089.28/.29(043.2)Implantes tisularesImplantes cutáneosCirugíaOtorrinolaringología3213 Cirugía
