Vein thicknesses generally conform to a power law distribution of the form N(k C t D, where Nt is the number of veins with a thickness > t. This may be interpreted in terms of scale-invariant (self-affine fractal scaling of vein geometry) which has been verified to several orders of magnitude. Multifractal analysis of vein networks has been applied using the capacity dimension (D J, the information dimension (Dt) and the correlation dimension (D ,) to measure the heterogeneity, dimensionality and connectivity of the fracture systems.spaSistemas filonianos multifractales en la Península Hurd, Isla Livingston, Antártida Occidentaljournal articlehttps://sociedadgeologica.org/publicaciones/geotemas/geo-temas-1/open access551.22(292.33)Fractal geometryMultifractalsHydrothermal veinsSouth Shet land IslandsAntarcticaGeologíaGeodinámica2506 Geología
