The effect of mechanical milling on the luminescent and structural properties of ZnSe has been studied by means of cathodoluminescence (CL) in the scanning electron microscope SEM, high resolution electron microscopy (HRTEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). For the CL measurements the samples were pressed to form disk shaped pellets. Changes observed in the relative intensities of the characteristic emission bands are discussed in terms of defects generated during milling. The crystallinity of milled powders has been studied by HRTEM.Luminescence properties of mechanically milled ZnSejournal articlehttp://dx.doi.org/10.1002/pssa.200306879http://onlinelibrary.wiley.commetadata only access538.9Solid-Phase RecrystallizationScanning Electron-MicroscopyIi-Vi CompoundsVisible CathodoluminescenceOptical-PropertiesCrystalsZnoSemiconductorsNanocrystalsSiliconFísica de materiales
