Even though there are not many Neogene karstic sites in the Iberian Chain, they occur in four clusters, with ages ranging from latest middle Miocene (MN7/8) to early Pleistocene (MN17). Correlations between these clusters and the reference stratigraphical units of the Tagus Basin, as well as with local and global events, are proposed. These karstic sites provide a complementary source of fossil vertebrate remains to that of the stratified sites formed lowland. The Heritage significance of such sites arises from the enhanced preservation of rare taxa or associations, and the operation of biotic concentrative processes.engAttribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Neogene mammal sites in Molina de Aragón (Guadalajara, Spain): correlation to other karstic sites of the Iberian chain, and their geoheritage valuesjournal article1867-2485https://doi.org/10.1007/s12371-018-0294-zhttps://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12371-018-0294-zhttps://produccioncientifica.ucm.es/documentos/5ed31feb2999526aa7412861https://scholar.google.com/scholar_lookup?title=Neogene+Mammal+Sites+in+Molina+de+Arag%C3%B3n+%28Guadalajara%2C+Spain%29%3A+Correlation+to+Other+Karstic+Sites+of+the+Iberian+Chain%2C+and+their+Geoheritage+Values&author=Morales%2C+J.&author=Pel%C3%A1ez-Campomanes%2C+P.&author=P%C3%A9rez%2C+P.&author=Alberdi%2C+M.T.&author=Azanza%2C+B.&author=Pickford%2C+M.&author=R%C3%ADos%2C+M.&author=Sanisidro%2C+O.&author=Alcalde%2C+G.&author=Cantalapiedra%2C+J.L.&author=Fraile%2C+S.&author=Garc%C3%ADa-Yelo%2C+B.&author=G%C3%B3mez-Cano%2C+A.R.&author=Hern%C3%A1ndez-Ballar%C3%ADn%2C+V.&author=Oliver%2C+A.&author=Cantero%2C+E.&author=Valenciano%2C+A.&author=Montoya%2C+P.&publication_year=2018&journal=Geoheritage&volume=10&issue=3&pages=353-362&doi=10.1007/S12371-018-0294-Z&issn=1867-2485&hl=esrestricted access56372.85371.3Iberian ChainNeogeneKarstTagus basinPaleontologíaMétodos de investigación en educaciónEducaciónEnseñanza de las Ciencias experimentales2416 Paleontología
