La crisis del Estado y sus causas: la asimetría en los procesos económicos, políticos y culturales, los retos ambientales y el progresivo desajuste entre el Estado, la sociedad y sus instituciones. Se rechaza la interpretación de que el Estado Nacional es una estructura obsoleta y se argumenta la superioridad funcional y ética del Estado desde la gestión del interés general, la necesidad de fomentar la integración social y desde el periódico control democrático a que se somete el Estado. In “Globalization and National State” are analyzed some effects of globalization in the structure and functions of the State, its critical situation and the serveral causes: no symmetrical economical, political and cultural processes, environmental risks and a progressive breaking between State and social statements. The author argues that National State is not a surpassed structure; furthermore it is the best institution in order to achieve the adequate administration of common concerns and social cohesion.
