Abstract
El español es una lengua que, con el paso de los años, ha ido adquiriendo mayor importancia en los ámbitos sociales, académicos, profesionales y empresariales. Prueba de ello reside en los informes del Instituto Cervantes que la muestran como la segunda lengua materna del mundo y la cuarta en número de hablantes, aunque las proyecciones indican que continuará creciendo. En suma, estos informes también demuestran que el español es una lengua que gana cada vez más adeptos entre los jóvenes adolescentes y universitarios y que su forma de estudio irá evolucionando con el paso del tiempo y con el avance de la tecnología. Todos estos datos que se analizan en profundidad en el marco teórico demuestran que, en un mundo completamente globalizado, conectado y en el que conviven un gran número de culturas, el docente de ELE debe estar preparado con el objetivo de poder dar una respuesta a la expansión de la lengua, que implica la relación con diversas culturas, además del estudio de la lengua. Los materiales de ELE son una herramienta excelente que podemos emplear para la enseñanza de cultura en el aula, con todo, varios se presentan de una forma estereotipada, incompleta o desactualizada. Otros de los inconvenientes que surgen durante la docencia puede ser la falta de interés del alumnado o la monotonía a la que el alumno puede verse sometido al estudiar un idioma...
Spanish is a language that, over the years, has become increasingly important in the social, academic, professional and business spheres. Proof of this can be found in the reports of the Instituto Cervantes, which show it as the second mother tongue in the world and the fourth in number of speakers, although projections indicate that it will continue to grow. In short, these reports also show that Spanish is a language that is gaining more and more learners among young teenagers and university students, and that the way it is studied will evolve with the passage of time and the advance of technology.
