Abstract

The main objective of this thesis has been, therefore, to present these new advances in the research on the Codex Xolotl, trying at the same time to give it an innovative form, thus adding, hopefully, a small tile to the rich mosaic of previous studies on the codex. In doing so, I made extensive use of the anthropological categories of emic and etic as disseminated by Marvin Harris (1987), where the former indicates the perspective and point of view of the actor, according to their worldview, ideology and beliefs, whether they are natives or people of Western culture, while the latter presents the same social phenomena from an external perspective, through a scientific and academic point of view, that of the researcher/observer...
